Kind Heart Ministries

This is the story of Kind Heart Ministries and how it all began:

Five years ago I was homeless and living in my car. I was working as a hotel housekeeper, making barely enough to survive. One day I was in a bookstore and I picked up a book by Mother Teresa. I thought, “Surely I can do something for the orphans in India whom no one else cares for!” I started studying Telugu in coffee shops after work, with my little phone, as I felt led to the part of India where that language is spoken. After one year I planned my first trip to India, even though I was still homeless. When I bought a plane ticket I had only fifty five dollars in my pocket for my whole trip! I travelled all over the country for six weeks, and the Lord provided every step of the way. The Lord led me to start work with Raja Bajjinki, and we got married. We had been communicating for about eight months prior to meeting, concerning the work that we both wanted to do. Raja had been writing to churches for fifteen years before he met me, trying to find someone to partner with him to help the beggars, widows and orphans. Our goal is to create a safe haven for the beggars and their children, the homeless and the outcasts, to help them start a new life. We want to build a sewing center for the women, to teach them a trade, and a school for their children. We want to teach the men trades that they are interested in. We will help them grow their own food, and raise water buffaloes for milk and chickens for eggs. We are praying for a piece of land where we can start! We believe the Lord will answer our prayers, because He is the one who put these desires in our hearts.

Thankyou so much for caring for these precious people whom Jesus loves so much!!

His for the helpless,

Ashley and Raja
