Where were You?

“Write, and say to My people, Thus saith the Lord: Where were you when I called and no one answered? I knocked at the door and no one came. Now I pour my judgements on the earth and many are crying unto Me. I ask you again, Where were you when I called and no one answered? I came unto My own and My own received Me not. They said, ‘We are busy. When we have time we will come to You.’ Am I not the God who fashioned you in your mother’s womb? Am I not the one who created you? Yet you disdain Me and count it a burden to appear before God. As I live, saith the Lord, I will not hear your cries of distress when they come to My ears. I waited for you to come to Me and you chose that which did not please Me. Yet now, if you turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning, My soul will not despise you. Know and see that it is an evil thing that thou hast forsaken thy God. Return to Me and I will receive you. In the day of your calamity, call unto Me and I will save you. I said not in vain that those who call on My name shall be saved. My hand is not shortened that it cannot save, neither is My ear heavy that it cannot hear. But your sins have come between you and your God. Put away the evil from your hands and make you a new heart and spirit, for why will you die? Well has Isaiah the prophet spoken concerning this people, ‘In vain they worship Me, teaching as commandments doctrines of men.’ Now go, and spare not to share the words which thou hast heard, My daughter.”
